Artist Statement

My art is an exploration of grief. I aim to create space for reflection, for solitude, and perhaps for recognition, which I hope can resonate with some.

When I was younger, my brother committed suicide. This act left me not knowing where to go or what to do.  I felt detached from ordinary life and even from myself. For a long time, I didn't know where to go, and as my confusion spread, my isolation grew.

Art became a language when words failed. By inscribing emotion onto unconventional surfaces, I began to release what I carried. This exhibition is a vessel for memory where each piece I created was both a step toward healing and a way of keeping connection alive.

My hope is that, in seeing my work, you might feel something familiar—whether it’s comfort, recognition, or simply the knowledge that you are not alone in your own unspoken experiences.
